Fan Charged after Harassing Cher
Cher was left shaken after a man was arrested for harassing her during a night out.
The “Believe” singer was enjoying herself at Nashville club Tootsies Orchid Lounge on Wednesday (June 25, 2008) when Calvin Hutton Houghland began pestering her.
Calvin, 36, repeatedly tried to make contact with his idol, much to Cher’s distress.
After being asked to leave by club management, he initially complied, before returning later on and grabbing Cher around the waist as she sat in a roped-off area.
Security guards ejected Calvin, but he was so determined to meet the music superstar he tried to gain entry again.
He was stopped by doormen, prompting him to call police and claim he had been assaulted.
When officers arrived at the scene, Calvin requested a sobriety test for himself, which he failed.
Calvin was eventually arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
Cher, 62, decided not to press charges against her over-amorous fan, but Calvin asked to be arrested.
He spent the night in police cells and was later released on $3,000 bail.
Verne Troyer Sex Tape Leaked
‘Austin Powers” actor Verne Troyer is the star of a new celebrity sex tape.
The 2ft 8in star – best known for his role as Dr. Evil’s diminutive sidekick Mini Me in the spy spoof movie series, also starring Mike Myers - reportedly filmed himself and his unnamed ex-girlfriend indulging in sexual activities in their apartment.
The footage was taken by a third party and now celebrity porn broker Kevin Blatt – who was instrumental in the releasing the now infamous Paris Hilton sex tape – is allegedly set to pay $100, 000 for the footage.
In one short clip, Verne is seen passionately kissing his female partner.
Verne – one of the smallest movie stars in the world – has not yet commented on the tape.
He is the latest in a long line of stars who have had their recorded bedroom activities leaked to the public.
As well as Paris Hilton’s “One Night In Paris,” Pamela Anderson, Colin Farrell and Tom Sizemore have all appeared in sex tapes.
The 39-year-old actor – who is currently starring alongside Mike Myers in “The Love Guru” - recently revealed he has no problems with people ridiculing his size in movies.
He said: “The way I look at it is - it’s a movie. You’ve got to be able to have fun with it and laugh at it.”
“If it were outside the movie, yeah, some of that stuff would be insulting.”
“Get over it. I’m sorry - it doesn’t offend me. Why should it offend you?”
Nicole Richie to Join Chuck
Nicole Richie will appear in US TV show ”Chuck.”
The 26-year-old star will make a guest appearance in the comedy spy series and have a girl fight with Yvonne Strahovski - who plays Sarah Lisa Walker, a CIA appointed minder to title character Chuck, played by Zachary Levi - in the program.
Nicole’s character will be a “sarcastic and spiteful girl who tortured Sarah at school,” according to show insiders at television network NBC.
In the episode, Sarah “must face her fears when she is forced to attend her 10-year high school reunion,” after Nicole’s character also shows up.
“Chuck” executive producer Josh Schwartz said: “Nicole auditioned for the part and was very funny.”
“This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and be diabolically evil and kick some butt.”
Nicole is the latest in a line of celebrity guests to cameo in “Chuck.”
Rachel Bilson and Kevin Weisman have also appeared.
Nicole’s most famous TV role to date was in reality show “The Simple Life” with her friend Paris Hilton which ran for five series.
She has also made guest appearances in “8 Simple Rules… for Dating My Teenage Daughter” and “American Dreams.”
Robbie Williams Splits From Girlfriend
Robbie Williams has split from his latest girlfriend.
The “Angels” singer and aspiring actress Ayda Field ended their year-long romance after the 28-year-old beauty grew tired of Robbie’s reluctance to embrace the Los Angeles party scene.
A source close to Robbie – who moved to the US in 2002 – said: “Ayda was attracted to Robbie as he is vastly different to the average Los Angeles guy she is accustomed to, but in the end this was exactly what ended their relationship, he is just too different.”
“Robbie’s indifference about the Los Angeles scene annoyed her.”
“He was content to stay in eat junk food and watch DVDs while Ayda was yearning for some glamorous nights out.”
“Ayda is hungry to advance in her career and that means schmoozing the right people. But Robbie doesn’t care about that.”
Friends insist the separation was amicable and Robbie – who took Ayda on several romantic holidays – is determined to have some fun.
One pal is quoted by Britain’s Daily Mail online: “He is in Los Angeles for the summer and hopes to have some fun with Los Angeles girls and maybe even develop a serious relationship.”
Robbie, 34, has previously dated former All Saints star Nicole Appleton, Geri Halliwell and model Rachel Hunter.
