Will Ferrell has jokingly advised Nicole Kidman to talk to her newborn daughter ”at least once a week.”

Will says his “Bewitched” co-star - who gave birth to Sunday Rose, her first child with husband Keith Urban, earlier this month - should attempt to communicate with her baby once every seven days.

When asked if he had any advice for Nicole, Will said: “For me, I would advise to talk to your children, at least once a week.”

“If you’ve got time, do it two or three times a week. But otherwise, I find the times where I let weeks and weeks go by without talking to my children, that adds up.”

Will – who can soon be seen in “Step Brothers” alongside John C. Reilly – also laughed his two sons with wife Viveca Paulin, Magnus and Mattias, have not inherited their father’s comedy gene.

He added to People magazine: “No, they’re not funny. They’re deadly serious.”

Salma Hayek and her fiance have called off their engagement.

The “Frida” actress and French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault – who have a 10-month-old daughter Valentina Paloma together – were reportedly set to marry later this year, but their spokesperson confirms the plans have now been “canceled.”

The representative said: “We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been canceled. There will be no further comment.”

Salma – who met Francois-Henri in Venice in May 2006 – revealed earlier this year she didn’t see the importance of getting married, and instead wanted to celebrate their relationship with a huge party for friends and family.

She said: “I don’t have a need for marriage. You want to grow old with someone, you want to have a partner and to have children - we have all those things. Some people need the commitment. Maybe we’ll just have the party!”

In the interview, Salma also insisted the couple were happy with their relationship and could cope with Francois-Henri living in Paris, France, while Salma stays with Valentina in Los Angeles.

She added: “To most women it’s crazy. But every relationship is unique, and in order to make it work you have to be willing to listen - not only to your partner, but to the relationship itself.”

“You have to be brave enough to say, ‘This is who we are. We might not look like the perfect couple, or like our parents did, but this is our love story.’”

Ashton Kutcher can’t remember when he got married.

The “What Happens in Vegas” actor, who tied the knot with Demi Moore on September 24 2005, admits he often forgets his wedding anniversary.

He said: “I’m not good with dates. It takes me 20 minutes to remember my anniversary.”

Ashton, whose production company Katalyst is bringing family game show “Opportunity Knocks” to the small screen, also revealed his involvement in the series has made him question how much he knows about Demi and his three stepdaughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah.

He explained: “I got into the process of thinking, ‘How well do you know your family?’ If somebody came and asked me what kind of perfume my wife wears every single day, could I tell you that answer?”

“I started playing with that idea with my family and with my girls, birthdays and anniversaries. Just who is Tallulah’s favorite band? We would play for two bucks at the dinner table and we all had a blast with it.”

Ashton, who at 30 is 15 years younger than his wife, is confident Demi would be a natural if she appeared on the program because she has such a great memory.

He added to America’s OK! magazine: “She would be a genius. I think my wife would dominate this show.”

Selma Blair is ‘’shocked” by how many of her friends have lesbian crushes on her.

The actress, who famously shared a steamy kiss with Sarah Michelle Gellar in “Cruel Intentions,” insists she has never had any lesbian experiences in real life - but is constantly fighting off advances from women.

Selma - who also filmed same sex kisses for “Feast of Love” and new movie “Driving Lessons” - told Playboy magazine: “I have done three girl-on-girl kisses on-screen. And, yet, I’ve never experimented in real life.”

“When lesbian friends tell me they’re in love with me after our friendship has been cemented, it always shocks me.”

Last year, Selma revealed she practiced her lesbian sex scenes in private with “Heroes” star Stana Katic.

Selma - who plays a lesbian again in “Feast of Love” - said: “We rehearsed our love scene quite a bit in a private room together.”

“We both looked at the bed, looked at each other and walked into the room and went at it.”
